Robson Ranch Women’s Club Community Outreach

Mary Lynn Church, Dianna Duncan, Alex Haase, and Suzzane Spisak

KD Rutherford

At the May luncheon, Mary Lynn Church, Dianna Duncan, and Suzzane Spisak presented a check from the proceeds of the Home & Garden Show for $15,153.89 to Alex Haase with Children’s Advocacy Center for North Texas. This charity was added based on a vote by members, and it is the first time Children’s Advocacy Center has received proceeds on behalf of the Women’s Club.

Dianna Duncan announced that the May luncheon donations through Share the Blessings benefiting Denton County Friends of the Family totaled $285. These funds will go towards a Friends of the Badge luncheon. This special event celebrates the strong partnership between Friends of the Family and our local law enforcement. Journey to Dream will be the recipient of the Share the Blessings in June. Those funds will be earmarked for their Back-to-School shopping event. The Share the Blessings lunch certificate was won by LaDonna Womochel.

Suzanne Spisak called attention to handouts in the table folders. There is a Denton County Friends of the Family information sheet, which also includes a QR code in case you wish to donate. She encouraged members to look at the scope of their services providing compassionate, comprehensive services to those impacted by rape, sexual abuse, and domestic violence.

The Backpack Drive for Friends of the Family will kick off in June. Check out our website www.rrwomensclub.org for more details.

The next Community Outreach meeting will be on Monday, Aug. 11, at 10 a.m. at the clubhouse.

Suzanne thanked all members for their support of our charities.
