Dr. Amanda Florsheim, DVM, CBCC-KA, owner of Veterinary Behavior Solutions and VBS The Training Studio, was the guest speaker for the March 12, 2016 Happy Tails meeting. Dr. Florsheim specializes in cases involving fear, aggression, phobias, anxieties and compulsive behavior. This month’s topics was “Five Myths about Dogs and Behavior.”

Dr. Florsheim was born and raised in Dallas. She graduated with honors from Trinity University. She received a fellowship to attend Emory University for a PhD in History. Since her true passion is working with animals and the human-animal bond, Dr. Florsheim remained in Texas and attended Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine where she was selected as a Geraldine R.
