Dave Parker
The house band (host) for the March meeting of the Rock & Roll Martini Group was Nancy and Jimmy Burns. They chose Carole King as the featured artist for the event. Carole King is an American singer and songwriter who has written or co-written more than 400 songs, which have been recorded by more than 1,000 artists. Nancy and Jimmy (chef extraordinaire in the Navy) served up pasta with a secret super red and white sauce. The Rockers (members) and guests filled in appetizers and desserts. The martinis for the evening were the “Smackwater Jack” and “Feel the Earth Move.”
No screen doors or martini glasses were harmed during the party. Until next month, Rock on!
