The House Band (host) for the August meeting of the Rock & Roll Martini Group was Marti and John Harnly. Marti and John chose Eric Clapton as the music for the evening. Eric Clapton is an English rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He is regarded as one of the most successful and influential guitarists in rock music. He ranked second in Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time.
Marti and John served up bratwursts for all attending, and the Rockers (members) filled in with appetizers and desserts. The martinis for the evening were a watermelon martini, a lemon drop martini, and a fruit punch beer drink. It was a special get-together, as the group celebrated Allen and Monica Bishop’s 25th wedding anniversary.
No screen doors or martini glasses were harmed during the party. Until next month, Rock On!
