Dave Parker
The house band (host) for the September meeting of the Rock & Roll Martini Group was Carol and Ralph Jankowski. Carol and Ralph chose Heart as the music for the month. Heart is an American band formed in Seattle in 1973. They have sold over 50 million records and have been nominated for four Grammy Awards. The Rockers (members) wore red, and Carol (master party planner) and Ralph even furnished heart-shaped, red sunglasses. The hosts (most likely Carol) rolled out cheesy mostaccioli and meatball sliders. The Rockers filled in with an overabundance of desserts. The three martinis for the evening were the Dreamboat PomegrAnnie-tini, Crazy Cranny-tini, and These Ruby Red Dreams-tini. The evening finished outside on the patio with a game of Charades. It was truly a night filled with Heart!
No martini glasses or screen doors were harmed during the party. Until next month, Rock On!
