Dave Parker
The house band (host) for the annual ZZ Top party was Susan and David Parker. The blow-out event is held each year and only gets bigger and better.
ZZ Top, “That Little Ol’ Band from Texas,” was formed in Houston in 1969. For 51 years, it consisted of vocalist Billy Gibbons, drummer Frank Beard, and bassist-vocalist Dusty Hill until his death in 2021.
The house band rolled out smoked pork shoulder and buns. The Rockers (members) and guests added in appetizers and desserts. The martinis for the evening were “Tube Snake Boogie,” “The Tush,” and “The LaGrange.” Rockers and guests put on their ZZ Top beards and clothing, and some sported “cheap sunglasses.”
No screen doors were harmed during the party; however, one martini glass met its demise. Until next month, Rock on!
