The University of North Texas has announced Robson Ranch Texas as an official Osher Lifelong Learning Institute site. UNT has offered lifelong learning programs at Robson Ranch since 2013, and the Osher Foundation’s support provides exciting new opportunities for the future.
The Osher program, or OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute), is a learning program designed by and for adults 50 and older. The program features classes, events and trips. Classes are taught by university professors and area professionals. According to OLLI, the program is “a vibrant community of curious minds, adventurous hearts and welcoming members.”
The partnership enables OLLI classes to be held at the Robson Ranch main clubhouse and makes it convenient for Robson Ranch residents. More than 120 Robson Ranch Texas residents are already members of the OLLI program.
“The OLLI program and partnership with UNT is yet another amazing amenity for our Robson Ranch residents,” says Brian Boylan, Senior VP of Sales, Robson Ranch Texas. “Having OLLI classes onsite at our main clubhouse means residents don’t have to travel far to gain knowledge and have access to first-rate education with topics they’re interested in.”
The program also offers on-site lectures and tours of nearby museums and nature centers as well as annual member events and socials. Both domestic and international educational trips are also offered. Classes range from technology courses, health and wellness topics, history, current events, music and art and more. OLLI at UNT members also have access to the Denton and Frisco campuses making the available class offerings more than 100 classes to choose from.
Classes will be held at the main clubhouse at Robson Ranch Texas and are usually 90 minutes long.
