The MGA has partnered with The First Tee Program of Fort Worth for several years to provide used golf clubs, balls, bags and related golf equipment for young people, with over 1,500 golf clubs donated by our members and the Robson Ranch community.
Since 1977 The First Tee has introduced the game of golf and its inherent values to millions of young people nationwide. On golf courses, in elementary schools and on military installations, the group has helped shape the lives of young people from all walks of life by providing participation in The First Tee’s Life Skills Curriculum and its Nine Core Values (Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy and Judgment) through the game of golf, thereby instilling life-enhancing values that encourage leadership, build character, foster community service and promote wellness.
The MGA and The First Tee partnership is continuing this year with MGA Board member Harry Anderson taking the lead in collecting contributions. Collection will begin this year at the end of September.
Harry Anderson can be reached at 940-765-2655 and [email protected] for donation information.
