Getting together to celebrate another year of Sassy Stamping was an absolutely beautiful and memorable experience. The five large tables were each uniquely decorated by a member of our club. One table was decorated like a Christmas village with an illuminated tree in the middle. Another stunning table centerpiece was a sleigh led by reindeers with beautifully lighted candles. A third table was decorated using red and black buffalo plaid chargers, reindeer, and Christmas tree with little red lights. Even the chair backs were covered in Santa hats. A fourth table featured a vintage old-world Santa, trees, and darling wonderland critters. The fifth table was a classic silver train engine, complete with tree boughs, lantern, and nutcracker. Such a beautiful setting for our final 2019 get together.
We started the party with three festive Christmas games. And my oh my, we were all quite competitive. After a hearty lunch, door prizes were handed out to the lucky winners. Our club president, Diana Krug, handed out a few things to board members then the party really got started. A Chinese gift exchange took place. Let’s just say there was some gift stealing involved. Great times were had by all. Thanks so much Sally Hampton and Trudy Searles for organizing this event for the club.
Our club makes ten handmade cards a year during our monthly meetings. In addition, we have one meeting a year learning new and refreshing earlier learned techniques for card making. We also have additional events throughout the year with opportunities to make cards. Support Our Troops also plays a big part in our stamping club throughout the year.
One thing can be said for our Sassy Stampers Club – we always have a great time when getting together! Looking forward to seeing what 2020 holds for our club.
