The Sassy Stampers held their final 2020 meeting via Facebook live/YouTube on Dec. 19. Tami Fenton, the club vice president, led the group through the process of making her design of a Christmas gift tag with three tasty Hershey chocolate nugget treats. Tami always makes any project look easy. The card kit contained many parts and pieces—all ready for assembly. The poinsettia looked awesome even before we put it together. Love the papers (Christmassy, of course). All the details come together nicely to make the beautiful and tasty treat of a gift tag. Thank you, Tami, for all you do to keep our meeting happening. We are so grateful and thankful for you.
Back in November, and then again in early December, some of the Sassy Stampers board members under the direction of Diana Krug, Sassy Stampers club president, met to begin Operation Goodie Bag for all club members. Over the years the club has received donated designer paper of all colors and designs. Diana had suggested we cut some of these papers into card sizes and distribute them to club members in a goodie bag for Christmas. With paper cutters in hand, the papers were cut and ultimately, we had stacks and stacks of paper, ribbon, embellishments, and die cut items too. In another session, the items were organized so we could easily collect and distribute all the goodies into cute brown bags for club members. When members picked up their card kits this month, they received these goodie bags. Now members have some items to make cards of their own design.
Closing out 2020 is bittersweet. We are very hopeful, with the COVID-19 vaccine becoming available, that we will be able to meet in person sometime next year. Until that time, stamp on Sassy Stampers!
