In the last few years, the Sassy Stampers Club has participated in the Support Our Troops—Operation Baby Shower. Although, this year with COVID-19, we do not have all the specifics with regard to date and location, we can share what our club provides for during this special celebration. There will be a surprise baby shower for approximately 40 mothers-to-be who are either service members or wives of service members. The soon-to- be mothers receive baby gifts donated by businesses and other clubs and organizations. Our Sassy Stampers Club provided homemade cards for the mothers-to-be as well as the father-to-be.
On June 22, 10 members of Sassy Stampers met in Room 104 of the Creative Arts & Technology Center to assemble these homemade cards. We kept our social distancing (one person to a table) and created an assembly line of stamping, embossing, die cutting, gluing, and ultimately completing 40 cards within a few hours. Thanks goes out to our club president, Diana Krug, who organized the specific activities and assembly tasks. A special thank you goes out to Sandy Masoner who provided the 40 handmade cards for the father-to-be!
This was the first “in person” meeting of club members since February. It was great getting to see and talk to each other. We all look forward to the day we can get back to normal. Afterwards, the tables were sanitized and ready for whatever group comes in next. Please visit the Creative Arts & Technology Center and see all the beautiful display windows. There are so many talented people here at Robson Ranch.
In closing, I just want to mention again how much our Sassy Stampers love stamping. We look forward to hearing all about Operation Baby Shower and feel great knowing our club had a part in this very special delivery!
Keep on stamping!
