Save the Date for Drama Club Performance October 26

Mary Ornberg

The Robson Ranch Drama Club continues to be a beacon of creativity, friendship, and the pure delight of the performing arts.

The club is busy rehearsing their next performance scheduled for Oct. 26 and is inviting everyone to mark their calendars for what promises to be another enchanting showcase of talent and creativity. We get better every time. Tickets will be on sale at the Robson Ranch clubhouse starting Oct. 6 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m.

The plays are A Not So Dark and Stormy Night, by EJ McFall; Bruce and Clark, by Bruce Kane; Witch One, by Linda LaRocque; and Welcome to Rambling Ranch, by RR resident and Drama Club member Kathy Jacobs. We have more people cast in this performance than at any other time. The actors include Debbie Deverich, Michelle Boscoe, David Ku, Bart Ogburn, Howard Kline, Carrylyn Jacobs, Tony Kura, Alan Stark, Lisa Locke, Frankie Germany, Tammy Pickard, Tom Gunther, Grace Jenkins, James Lagesse, Linda Eisel, Doug Akins, Julia Grier, Lin Ku, Jerry Jenkins, Pam Dotson, Don Taylor, and Edward Barnett. Special musical numbers are led by Linda Weston with CJ Palecek, Tammi Brown, and Sandra Stolnacke.

The people behind the scenes are just as important as the actors on stage. The sound crew has a most challenging job of balancing the volumes of each performer and following the scripts for some sound effects. The light controller oversees on, off, and dimming at the appropriate times. The stage crew is responsible for setting up the next scene on stage with the right props. All are vital for the success of each performance.

The Drama Club is a fun group. We welcome everyone, and no experience is necessary. We need people both on stage and behind the curtain. If you are interested in joining the Drama Club, contact Mary Ornberg at mornberg124@gmail.com. Our meetings are scheduled for the second Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. in Room 104 of the CATC building.
