September 23 was a great day at Borman Elementary School and Gonzalez School for Young Children when the Teacher Appreciation teams from After Schoolers provided a Subway sandwich luncheon for the faculty and staff members. A special “Thank You” goes to team captains and assistants: Pat Hamblin, Robbie Waits, Ann Madigan at Gonzalez and Nancy Burns, Marnita Torres, Susan Hebert and John Cather at Borman.
The principals, teachers, secretaries, nurses, counselors and other staff members were very appreciative and enjoyed every minute of their luncheon.
The After Schoolers are busy preparing teacher gift bags for both schools and will soon be collecting items for Christmas baskets for needy families at Borman and Gonzalez.
