After a week of multiple snowfalls, freezing and below freezing temperatures, along with boil water restrictions, the Sassy Stampers group was ready to make a beautiful card for February 2021. Thank you to Theresa Rosprim, project lead, for the card design, kit prep, and card kit distribution. The card is absolutely beautiful, and your design ideas really make this card a one of a kind. Theresa showcased a few new techniques to the club. Spotlight—a way of displaying your main card front design in a color/black and white technique. Tami Fenton, now a consultant for Sassy Stampers, thoroughly explained the process of this technique. As usual, she makes everything look so easy. Watching the video prior to making this card is very beneficial, so members take note. After the Spotlight comes the Splatter! Tami walked us through three different ways to splatter. Again, she makes it look so easy and provides insight so that when you make the card, you have knowledge and more confidence. And it was so much fun to watch.
Theresa wanted to send a special thanks to Tami for providing the toothbrushes and metallic paint for the splatter that was included in our card kits. Thanks again are Tami for all you have done in the past, as well as the videos you are providing as a consultant. In addition, I just wanted to point out that having our Facebook page, along with GroupWorks, makes it easy to get messages out to our Sassy Stampers members. With the recent snowfall and extremely cold temperatures, there was a delay in the card kit distribution. Special attention was given to this task as Theresa did not want anyone getting hurt due to potential slippery conditions.
I think we will all have fun making this beautiful Spotlight and Splatter card. Thank you again Theresa!
As we all thaw out and as you make some cards, please feel free to post pictures on our Facebook page. Mary Pearson, our Sunshine Club point person, can always use birthday, get well, or sympathy cards. In addition, Support Our Troop (SOT) card donations are always welcome. Should you have questions about SOT cards, contact Marti Goodrich, Sandy Masoner, or Deb Thomas.
Until next month, keep on stamping, Sassy Stampers!
