Would you like to find some fantastic buys and also help provide for the material, physical and emotional needs of our military men and women at home and abroad? Then put Saturday, November 10 on your calendar as the date that Support Our Troops will conduct its second major fundraiser of the year, the SOT Silent Auction. The core mission of SOT is to provide. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the silent auction are used to carry out the core mission of SOT and this fundraiser is crucial to fulfilling that mission.
On November 10, in conjunction with the Veterans Day Concert, the Clubhouse hallways and meeting rooms will be filled with numerous donated items such as gift baskets, high-quality handmade arts and crafts, as well as certificates for goods and services from numerous Denton area businesses. Bidding will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the bid sheets will be available adjacent to each item for continuous bidding throughout the day and evening. Bidding will close promptly at 9:00 p.m. The winning bidders will be notified on Sunday, November 11. The 50/50 Raffle drawing will be held at 9:10 p.m. November 10 and the lucky ticket holder does not need to be present to win. (Last year, the lucky 50/50 winner pocketed more than $2000!)
Beginning October 8, a SOT table will be set up in the Clubhouse each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and continue through November 2. Please stop by and pick up a donor information form, drop off donation items and/or purchase tickets for the 50/50 raffle drawing. SOT members will be on hand to answer questions and provide additional information about the auction.
Do you have an awesome auction item to donate but no way to get it to us? SOT will also be providing pick-up service for donated items. The SOT members will assist you with arranging a convenient pick-up date for any items you wish to contribute to the auction.
