Exercise, improved flexibility and stress reduction. Are these among your New Year resolutions? T’ai Chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that today is practiced as a graceful form of exercise involving a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. It is a self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching, with each posture flowing into the next without pause, ensuring that the body is in constant motion. T’ai chi helps reduce stress and anxiety as it also aids flexibility and balance. And, your doctor likes it!
We meet in the gym every Tuesday and Friday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. There is no charge for the class. Experienced class members will be leading the forms and will be glad to work individually with beginners so that all may enjoy the many benefits.
