The Robson Ranch Tennis Club held two Oktoberfest events on Oct. 22. Twenty-eight players signed up to play on a windy Saturday afternoon. Using all six courts, everyone got a chance to play six rounds and take a break for one round.
Prizes for the event were beer mugs in honor of Oktoberfest. First place for women went to Linda Lapointe, and second place was Jenn Lucas. Ed Dugan took first place for the men, while second place went to Tom Ehinger. Everyone enjoyed getting out for some great exercise and social time.
Later, Tom and Connie McLaughlin opened their beautiful home and backyard to 40 tennis players and their spouses. We enjoyed Oktoberfest food, including pretzels, bratwurst with all the fixings, potato salad, and a selection of German beers. We visited with old and new tennis friends while enjoying a wonderful evening outdoors.
