The Robson Ranch Tennis Club held its first seasonal mixer, Spring Fling, on Saturday, April 9. The event was a great success, keeping all five courts busy all morning with a progressive tennis competition. The format was to play four-game rounds, beginning with randomly assigned partners and then having the winners move up to higher courts and losers move down to lower courts, always changing partners upon a move. After six rounds of tight competition motivated by gift certificates to The Grill, the clear cut king and queen of the courts were Harvey Luke and Nancy Bishoff. Congratulations to the winners!
After the competition a light buffet lunch was available to Tennis Club members and their guests on the Fitness Center patio. Several new members were present, both new to tennis overall and returning to tennis after many years.
All interested Robson residents are invited to join in the Tennis Club’s drop-in mixers every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. A new mixed doubles league that plays on Sundays from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. is also available to anyone interested.
