The Robson Ranch Drama Club is a group of residents who perform plays and skits for the community. We are highlighting one of our actors, Tammy Pickard, who performed on Oct. 23, 2022, in Driving with Siri and Rollin in the Dough.
Get to Know Tammy Pickard (in her own words):
“We moved to Robson Ranch in July 2021 after living in North Dallas and working at Auto-flex Leasing in Richardson since 1995. The most fun part of working there was co-hosting a radio talk show with David Blassingame. I do enjoy a microphone—ask anyone. After retiring in 2019, we found ourselves looking for a new community closer to David’s children and grandies. We are so lucky we discovered Robson. This community has far exceeded our dreams, and we couldn’t be happier! I joined the Drama Club, play bocce and Texas toss, joined a wine tasting club and a wine drinking club (yes, they are different), a happy hour club, a chili club, and hope to begin pottery classes soon. I’m a closet comedian and a bit of a goofball. Gilda Radner, Carol Burnett, and Lucille Ball are three of my favorite comediennes. When I was much younger, I backpacked alone for four months through Europe. It was the greatest adventure of my entire life and quite an accomplishment for a single lady traveling in foreign countries without a cell phone and, unfortunately, no digital camera. I used paper maps and film.
“Other than that, I have successfully potty trained all my dogs. That’s a big accomplishment, right? We currently have three dogs, and I can’t ever have enough. So, I may be offering some pet sitting service in Robson soon. Boomer Sooner!”
The next RR Drama Club performance will be Sunday, March 26, with performances at 2 and 6 p.m. Three comedic plays will be performed: Café Murder, Cheating Death, and Complaint and Lemonade. All the cast and crew are your friends and neighbors here at Robson Ranch. Tickets are on sale for $10 each at the clubhouse. Watch for updates in the HOA emails and Message Board.
