Young at Heart Sunday Afternoon Concert and Dance is back by popular demand. Robson Ranch Social Dance Classes presents the Young at Heart “big band sound” for your listening and dancing enjoyment on Sunday, Nov. 3 from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Robson Ranch Clubhouse Lonestar Ballroom.
Young at Heart is a 14-piece orchestra that has been performing for dances and events in the Denton area for more than 20 years. Several of the band’s talented musicians are Robson Ranch residents.
Tickets will be available for purchase starting on Tuesday, Oct. 1 for $10. You can buy individual tickets or reserve a full table of ten. Tickets can be purchased at the clubhouse on Monday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. or by contacting the following orchestra and class members: Mike Welton at 817-797-3631 or [email protected], Jeff Miller at 903-814-7355 or [email protected], Henry Evans at [email protected], Sharon Largent at [email protected], or Susan Supak at [email protected].
The dance will include line dancing led by Robson’s own Bert Zeitlin. A cash bar will be provided, and a drawing will be held for a free month of “Social Dance Classes” for two at the group class lessons, an $80 value. Be sure to put your name on the back of your ticket to be eligible for the drawing.
Dance to the wide variety of Young at Heart’s dance music—waltz, foxtrot, jitterbug, 3-step, rumba, cha cha, slow dance, swing, and more while reminiscing over the good ol’ days listening to such classics as “Release Me,” “Blueberry Hill,” “When I Fall in Love,” “You are the Sunshine of My Life,” “In the Mood,” “Tennessee Waltz,” and many more.
Bring your dance partner or bring a friend to listen with you as you take a sentimental journey on a Sunday afternoon, Nov. 3.
