Denton Horse Country Tour. Road Runners get ready for a mounted shooting demonstration.

Two busloads of Road Runners hit the trails from Robson Ranch on Saturday morning, March 29, headed for Denton County horse country. The weather was sunny, but cool, a perfect spring day in north Texas.
Three different horse ranches were toured, and the Road Runners had the chance to get up close to the horses and learn a few of the finer points of raising and caring for these stunning animals. All the ranchers were gracious hosts and gave our Road Runners VIP treatment throughout the tour.
As lunchtime neared, Road Runners circled the antique chuck wagon and were served a scrumptious BBQ lunch cooked over an open fire. Eighty hungry travelers feasted on BBQ turkey, shredded beef, rich creamed corn, homemade bread and the best-ever peach crumble. A very special meal that was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
Road Runners also witnessed a cowboy demonstrating his shooting skills as he rode his galloping steed and shot at balloon targets suspended in various locations. A lively demonstration indeed! Wrapping up the tour was a visit to the Western Heritage Gallery where Road Runners could do some shopping or watch a saddle making presentation. Then back to our Ranch, concluding an exciting and fun day!
April 15 brought more to Robson Ranch than Tax Day! Coleen and Gary Brandt hosted an enjoyable and informative evening as they introduced themselves and their services to about 150 Road Runners gathered at the clubhouse. They also brought a couple of their “team members” and representatives from three cruise lines as well as a fantastic land tour specialist.
The turnout was great, wine and cookies delicious and information enticing!
Three fun adventures were shared with Road Runners: a seven-night Southern Caribbean Cruise with Celebrity departing San Juan on January 10, 2015; an eight-day Southern France River Cruise with Viking departing Chalon-sur-Saone on April 19, 2015; and an eight-night Pacific Coastal Wine Cruise with Royal Caribbean departing Vancouver on September 18, 2015.
