Whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure, by car, plane, or train, essential oils can help to ease the stress of travel, boost your immune system, and help you feel refreshed and energized upon arrival. The best part is that most essential oils can be easily incorporated into your travel routine. With a little planning and the right oils, you can have a more enjoyable and comfortable travel experience.
Here are five tips for travel:
1. Sanitize. Small enclosed spaces like airplanes, trains, and cars can be a breeding ground for bacteria. Oil tip: Carry On Guard essential oil hand mist and wipes to help protect you.
2. Move around. Swelling can take place during air travel or on long car rides. Get up and walk around to move blood flow. Oil tip: Add a few drops of lemongrass, grapefruit, and cypress with coconut oil for the perfect massage.
3. Hydrate. Stay hydrated during your flight. Avoid salty drinks and snacks. Oil tip: Add lemon or grapefruit essential oil to your stainless steel water bottle.
4. Combat jet lag. Jet lag can put an extra load of stress onto your trip, especially when you’re expected to hit the ground running. Oil tip: Use lavender to soothe anxious minds and aid sleep.
5. Relax. You are on vacation! Vacations are meant to revive your soul, not make you feel bad. Oil tip: Diffuse in your hotel room and carry calming oils with you.
