Part 2: The Vision Behind Little Joe’s Farmstead

Join Women Sharing Hope on Friday, Aug. 1, at 10 a.m. in the Robson Ranch clubhouse as we welcome Jim Reid, founder of Little Joe’s Farmstead in Argyle. More than a café, Little Joe’s is a heartfelt mission—a story of family, faith, and a deep desire to serve others during life’s most difficult seasons.

Jim will share the inspiring journey that led to the creation of Little Joe’s Farmstead, an extension of a dream that began in 2009 with Little Matt’s, a restaurant born in the wake of his son Kevin’s battle with pediatric cancer. That painful season sparked a purpose: to create welcoming places where families can find comfort, community, and compassion. Little Matt’s opened with the guiding values of hope, love, and faith.

With its newly remodeled space, Little Joe’s Farmstead brings that same spirit to Argyle. Located in a historic 1960s landmark that has served the town as a grocery, fueling station, and family home, the space now invites neighbors to gather for fresh, local food on a sunny porch while supporting a mission much greater than what’s on the menu.

Jim’s goal is simple yet powerful: to give back. Proceeds from both restaurants support Texas Children’s Hospital, while everyday acts of kindness are encouraged and celebrated throughout the community. His talk will reveal how one family’s hardship turned into a lifeline of generosity and encouragement—how a building can be transformed into a beacon of hope.

Come be inspired by how a father’s love became a legacy and how the Argyle community has embraced that legacy through Little Joe’s Farmstead. Whether you’re a foodie, a philanthropist, or someone searching for meaningful connections, Jim’s story will leave you uplifted.
