The Robson Ranch Pickleball Club was honored to host the US Senior Pickleball South Central Zone Championships! Over 250 players from across the South filled the pickleball courts for three solid days on Oct. 6, 7, and 8.
Ford Roberson was the tournament director for this prestigious event. Ford Roberson, CEO of USSP, was instrumental in securing the event for Robson Ranch. Ford coordinates pickleball tournaments across the United States and in many foreign countries. His expertise in managing and directing pickleball tournaments led to a smooth and problem-free tournament. Paula Hughes and Mark Kellam staffed the tournament table and coordinated matches on all 16 pickleball courts. Ford, Mark, and Paula spent many hours preparing and executing a well-run tournament. Many other volunteers from the Pickleball Club filled all other positions. Over 20 players from Robson Ranch represented our club, with too many metals to mention.
The Robson Ranch Pickleball Club has over 900 members. If you would like to join in the fun, an academy is offered to teach the fundamentals of pickleball. Simply go to the club website, robsonranchdentonpickleballclub.wildapricot.org to join and register for a beginner academy.
