Members of Voices United enjoyed a delightful afternoon of camaraderie and entertainment with lunch and a movie on May 27. The group began the afternoon with lunch at Sidewalk Café and then headed over to the Cinemark across the street for the movie, Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning.
Lunch included soup and salad or a sandwich but mostly getting caught up with what was happening in each other’s lives. Members of the group shared that it was wonderful to get out and connect with everyone outside of the usual meeting and enjoy a relaxing afternoon together in a safe environment. One member had just finished her last PT session, and another was going to be having surgery. They both appreciated the support they received from the members of Voices United. The event was sponsored by the Social Committee. The successful group lunch and movie served as a reminder of the importance of community and connection. The Voices United Social Committee looks forward to hosting more engaging events in the future.
