Whimsical Passport Portraits

Sher Harnish and Emanda Johnson

Sandi Price

What a different kind of class. We met for an all-day class on how to create whimsical passport portraits. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. you could see fat quarters and fabric pieces flying about the room in our attempt to make “passport photos” that were, well, whimsical, to say the least.

Sher Harnish and Emanda Johnson from the Denton Quilt Guild and our own member Lucy Rees led us on a merry chase through all of those patterns and templates and samples of what our passport photos could look like—some simple, some intricate, but all of them creative. Stay tuned for completed projects. They will be displayed at the Denton Quilt Guild later in the year.
