We met at the home of Ed and Paula Bone to taste a red or white wine of our choice and to tell why we chose it. We began with a very nice Peach Sparkling to go with the wonderful appetizers provided by the Bones and several other members. This was followed by a very good Vinde Pen Bougrie Chenin Blanc from South Africa. This was followed by a Pacific Rim Dry Reisling from Washington State.
We then shifted our tasting to the Reds, which included Hot To Trot 213 by 14 Hands, Menage Et Trois, Gnarly Head 1924 Double Black, Menage Et Trois Midnight, (both of these were very dark in color and very full bodied) and last a Caolier Falls Dry Creek Cabinet Sauvignon 2005.
All these wines had a story, and all were very tasty, which resulted in a fun-filled evening.
Attending were Ed and Paula Bone, Dale and Cindy Brekke, Marv and Bev Daniel, Frank and Bev Deardorff, Tom and Pam Kanawyer, Bob and Judy Klenz, Wayne and Nancy Lussier and Kathy Perry.
