We all wore green in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. There were green shirts, green hats, green socks, wild glasses and green jewels bedecking all of our wonderful members. There were those of us that even wore crowns. The Wildhorse Lady Niners could not have picked a better day than on Tuesday, March 15 to kick off their 2016 Season. The weather was spectacular. We had a great turn out and beautiful weather for our opening play day. We had 70 players come out, many of whom were new, to start the season.

Here were the winners.

First place: Shirley Revering, Sharon Dinsmore, Tanya Jones

Second place: Allison Bender, Mary Garbowski, Jamey Seifert, Jean White

Third place: Kathy Perry, Sandy Spitzmueller, Olive Morton

DAM: Kay Mckie, Marilyn Gomez, Barb Cummins, Janet Propp

DAL: Bev Daniel, Janet Angus, Beverlee Deardoff, Nancy Wendt

There was also a golf cart competition for the best decorated cart judged by David Thatcher and Pete Ahrens. The first prize went to Barb Cummins.

On the same day the WLN had their first quarterly meeting. The torch was passed from the 2015 board consisting of Virginia Wheeless, president; Paula Saunders, vice president; Linda Brewer, secretary and Teresa Blackburn Korn, treasurer. Our new board is Debra Harwell, president; Janie Farnsworth, vice president; Sue Halstead, secretary and Teresa Blackburn Korn, treasurer.

The WLN boasts a membership of 114. We are the fastest growing association at Robson Ranch. Our membership enjoys playing stress free and fun golf with a social atmosphere. If you are interested in joining the Wildhorse Lady Niners, please contact our membership chair, Olive Morton, at 262-0828.
