The Robson Ranch Women’s Club (RRWC) continues to be a big support to the community.

Dianna Duncan announced that donations through Share the Blessings to Denton County Friends of the Family totaled $495. Funds were earmarked for the purchase of Thanksgiving meal kits. The Share the Blessings winner was Nancy Nix.

Journey to Dream will be the recipient of Share the Blessings in December. Funds will be allocated to holiday break events.

Dianna Duncan, Suzanne Spisak, and Lorie Stockton presented a check from the Holiday Market proceeds in the amount of $17,687.55 to Jenna Edwards and Alva Santos, representatives for Our Daily Bread. Jenna thanked the Women’s Club for this fundraising effort.

Suzanne gave an update on the holiday activities Community Outreach has planned to benefit Denton County Friends of the Family:

Adopt-A-Family Projects: Denton County Friends of the Family sponsors Adopt-A-Family, which provides a rewarding experience of purchasing gifts for children, teens, and their mothers and ensuring they have holiday gifts, as well as clothing, this holiday season! In 2024 RRWC provided gifts for 97 children and teens from 45 families and provided each mother with a gift as well. The RR Kiln Krafters will be donating holiday ceramics for the moms.

Holiday Decoration Drive: Drop off your unwanted holiday decorations at the clubhouse parking lot on Monday, Dec. 15, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. A truck will be in the back parking lot to collect your donations. Christmas trees are welcome. Please make sure lights are in good, working order, and no trees taller than 8 feet.

Welcome Home Pallet Urgent Needs for Our Daily Bread: Queen mattress pads, kitchen knives, lamps, coffee pots (5-cup is best), and toasters. Drop off these items at Sherry Eason’s home at 8008 Osprey Lane, cell phone number 225-773-5431. No other items are being collected at this time.

Wine Pull at Holiday Home Tour Benefitting Journey to Dream: Our Holiday Home Tour was held on Dec. 7. A Wine Pull was hosted in two of the homes.

Holiday Cookie Drive: For all you cookie bakers, we are collecting home-baked cookies until Dec. 10.
