Dahling You Look Marvelous! was the theme throughout the Women’s Club March fashion show on Monday, March 6. The Le Fashion Coach Fashion Show included “50 shades of blue” and the latest spring fashions. The greeters opened the ballroom doors, and over 320 members and guests located their seats in anticipation of the annual spring fashion show.
The table decorations were charming centerpieces featuring shopping bags with the Eiffel Tower displayed on them. The table decorators were Theresa Peoples, Kasey Miller, Diane Eoff and Sandy Conwell. The greeters were Joy Keteltas, Barbara Casazza, Nancy Garre, Mary Ann Carroll, Geraldine Gawle and Sharon Heidebrecht. They did a wonderful job welcoming members while escorting new members to their reserved tables for a special “welcome.”
Sharon Foy, president, kicked off the luncheon by welcoming the first-time attendees and guests. For the first time in the history of the club the membership has increased to 405 members within the year’s first quarter. She then acknowledged the March birthdays and gave the treasurer’s report.
Sharon introduced Judy Ondina, Service, who in turn, introduced the Denton Community Food Center’s (DCFC) past Chairman, Board of Directors, Tom Newell. He shared the DCFC’s mission is to provide food from a central community storehouse to needy individuals and families who find themselves in emergency situations. The Food Pantry is all-volunteer staffed and run, donor-funded and supported charity. It serves 31 zip codes and has been in service 42 years.
