As we look forward to fall and cooler weather, members of the Woodworkers Club are turning their focus to one of the year’s most anticipated events—the Holiday Market, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18. The Market has become a tradition in the community, drawing shoppers eager to find handmade gifts that highlight the skill and imagination of local woodworkers.
Inside the woodshop, club members are busy crafting pieces that reflect both fine craftsmanship and creative design. This year’s offerings include everything from furniture to smaller household treasures. Shoppers can expect to see elegant sofa tables, carefully CNC-carved items, and uniquely designed book holders. Adding to the variety are geometric cutting boards, handcrafted pens, and turned bowls made from an assortment of wood, each piece highlighting the individual style of its maker.
The selection does not stop there. Also taking shape are beautiful and unique samba boards, Mexican train sets, Texas-themed cutting boards, Texas ornaments, charcuterie boards, and coasters. The range of items ensures that whether someone is shopping for a standout piece or a small, seasonal gift, there will be something to fit the need.
With the holidays approaching, the Oct. 18 Holiday Market offers an ideal chance to shop locally and find meaningful gifts. For those seeking gifts that are both practical and personal, the Woodworkers Club’s booth is set to deliver another memorable shopping experience.
In the meantime, for those who don’t want to wait, the Woodworkers’ display cabinets in the Creative Art building feature a selection of beautiful, handmade wood items available now. The woodshop also provides furniture repair and custom orders. The woodshop is typically open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
