Your Voice Matters: Make a Difference This May!

Tim McCormick

Robson Ranch Republicans, get ready to make a difference! The upcoming May Joint Election, held on May 3, 2025, for City Council and School Board is your chance to directly shape the future of our wonderful community. Mark your calendars, because this is an election you won’t want to miss!

While national elections often dominate the headlines, it’s local elections that truly shape our everyday lives. By voting in these elections, you’re not just casting a ballot, you’re actively shaping the future of Denton, including Robson Ranch. Think about it: City council decisions affect our parks, our local services, and the very infrastructure we rely on. School board elections determine the quality of education for our grandchildren, influencing property values and the overall well-being of our community.

Our elected city officials make decisions that determine the quality of our roads, water supply, emergency services, and zoning laws. Likewise, our school board members have the responsibility of overseeing the education system, making choices about budgets, school safety, and curriculum that shape the future of our community. These are not small matters, and they require leaders who align with our values.

We are incredibly proud of our community’s strong voting record, especially during presidential elections. However, we’ve noticed a significant drop in participation when it comes to smaller, local elections. This is a trend we can—and must—change. Every vote matters, and every election is an opportunity to make a difference.

Here’s the good news: Voting couldn’t be more convenient! Both of these elections will be on the same ballot, and we’ll have a polling location right here in our clubhouse, thanks to previous and current work by Republicans! This means you can exercise your civic duty without ever leaving the comfort of our community.

Encourage your neighbors, remind your friends, and, most importantly, show up and vote. We all want to see our community thrive, and that starts with electing strong, principled leaders who share our values and priorities.

Voting is more than a civic duty—it’s a privilege and a responsibility. It’s how we ensure that our values and priorities are reflected in the decisions that affect us most. By participating in the May elections, you’re taking an active role in shaping the future of our community.

Early voting begins April 22!
