The Corks and Caps group met for their September get together minus a number of members due to travel and the member/guest golf tournament. That did not stop the remaining members from having a great time. This month it was a “Caps” month as we celebrated Octoberfest with beers from Germany. The food for the evening was brats, German potato salad and red cabbage salad. The appetizer was cucumber topped with dill sauce and salmon. The beer competition included Ayinger, Hacker-Pschorr, Flensburger and Shiner Octoberfest. After a serious tasting and a secret vote, Ayinger brought by Karen DiPietro came out the winner. A beautiful end to the evening on the Patio was complemented by German chocolate cupcakes.
