Dance Club “Dance by the Light of the Moon” was a success

Moonlight and dancing came to the Dance Club’s “Dance by the Light of the Moon” on  Sept. 20. Lanterns were on the walls and the tables were artfully decorated with cherry blossoms and twinkle lights. The popular photo area had a park bench in front of a full moon backdrop.

The dance floor was filled with dancing from rock and roll, to country, line dancing, and pop music with Diva G and High Maintenance providing the music.

The Dance Club meeting and election of officers was held during the dance. The officers are: Jackie Killingsworth, president; Phyllis Ayers, vice president; Gloria Baer, treasurer; and Elaine Kushmaul, secretary. Committee members were introduced along with their positions: Bert Zeitlin, graphic designer and webmaster; Sandy Meinecke, publicity; decorations, Ann Jones with the help of Marilyn Melo, Vicki Baker, and Bernadette Fideli. Special recognition was given to Scott Baker and Geraldine Gawle for their help with all the dances.

The popular door prizes were donated by Nothing Bundt Cakes, Henry Evans, Adams Furniture and Dry Clean Super Center.
