North Texas Junior PGA

Cindy Sterling

On March 15, we had 62 young golfers who ranged in age from seven to 15 years come out and play the North South rotation. This is the second time we have entertained the North Texas Junior PGA (NTJPGA) group. Many parents either caddie or walk alongside their children helping them with rules and the game of golf. During both of these tournaments over the last six months, we just happen to have some young golfers whose grandparents live here at the Ranch. I had the privilege of meeting Jimmy and Judy Martin who have two twin boys, and one of their twin boys has twin boys playing here in the NTJPGA group on this day. From Judy’s words, “Jaron and Carson Chandler are 17, and they are Juniors in Callisburg ISD. Their parents are John and Kristy Chandler and, yes, John has an identical twin brother in Midland. I am blessed to have two sets of multiple births in my family.” We are very lucky to get to see these young golfers develop into their schools golf teams. We look forward to entertaining these young golfers again in the fall. A special thank you to Connie Griswold for her help with keeping these young golfers hydrated.
