The Robson Ranch Mentors celebrated the end of the school year on May 10. Each year the mentors work with children on Thursday for one hour at Borman Elementary. There are also a group of people that mentor at other schools. Helping the children learn to read and assisting with other skills is extremely rewarding. Several of the children have improved their reading skills beyond average level for their age.
The school district will be recruiting mentors in July this year. If you are interested in mentoring a child, please contact Susan Parker at [email protected]. You do not have to have experience as a teacher to mentor.
