Roses, chocolate, hearts, and wine welcomed the ladies to our luncheon, Monday, Feb. 3! The attendees were dressed in shades of red and were as lovely as the valentines decorating the ballroom!

Gayle Coe, president, called the meeting to order and welcomed the members and guests to share Friendship Day and celebrate Valentine’s Day together while at the luncheon! Lucille Zimmerman, president elect, introduced first time attendees and guests. The February birthdays were also recognized.

President Coe announced the club has 326 members. She also invited new members to the New Member Orientation and Welcome, Wednesday, Feb. 12. The invitation was for anyone who had joined the Women’s Club since Jan. 1, 2020. President Coe explained, “This is a great opportunity to meet the board members and learn more about Women’s Club.”

Donalee Hallenbeck, service chair, advised the assembly that the service table was in the ballroom in order to be more convenient for the members. A total of $530 and several boxes of food items were donated to Friends of the Family.

Glenda Carr, welcome chair, reminded everyone about the upcoming March Social. The theme is “Getting to Know You and Robson Ranch Who’s Who”. It will be held Wednesday, March 11, 3–5 p.m., in the Clubhouse Heritage and Legacy Rooms. This fun event is for both members and non-members. Bring a friend! There will be door prizes, snacks, and a cash bar.

Peggy Crandell, special projects chair, shared details about the wonderful spring trip to Natchitoches, LA, April 28–30. She detailed flyers were on the tables explaining the registration procedure. She also stated she would be available after the meeting to answer questions.

Rebecca Bradford, vice president programs, announced a Model Call for the April Fashion Show presented by Le Fashion Coach. The theme is “The Shape of Fashion”! This event is always sold out so plan to reserve your April luncheon seat as soon as possible.

After a lovely lunch of chicken piccata, angel hair pasta, salad, and breadsticks, the attendees enjoyed red velvet cake and coffee while being serenaded by Brad Ackland. Brad entertained us with songs from Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and others, taking us back to romantic times of days gone by. It was a great program which ended with the attendees asking for more songs when the program concluded. Everyone had a great time.

The April luncheon is Monday, April 6. It will be the Fashion Show, hosted by Le Fashion Coach and feature a variety of fashions and current trends with something for everyone! Look for more details in the president’s newsletter.
