Singles Club enjoys excursion to Bureau of Engraving

On Wednesday, February 18, 19 of our Robson Ranch singles caravanned to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Western Printing Facility, in Saginaw to learn the finer details of making money! There was a self-guided tour and short movie that was very interesting, and we all learned a lot.

Did you know that there are two facilities in the United States that print money? Only the Fort Worth facility prints $1, $2, $5, $20 and $50 bills, and the Washington, DC facility prints $10 and $100 bills. It takes approximately four weeks to make a note (bill) from the start of the offset printing process to finished currency in the vault.

After our tour, a group of us had a great time with an early dinner, including tableside guacamole and drinks at Margarita’s in Justin.
