Beware, keep your eyes open and look out for speeding cars.

After the fun excursion that the Red Hat Ranchers did on Wednesday, September 16, at the Texas Motor Speedway, the Robson population needs to keep a lookout for little ol’ ladies wearing red hats zooming around the ranch. The wonderful guides we had, Tom and Bob, spoke of speeds from 156 mph and upwards and made the ladies think that maybe 20 mph was just a little tame.

It was certainly an informative event with the guides giving out a lot of information. Some of the ladies were surprised that a lot more than just an occasional race occurs at the Speedway. Various programs were mentioned that would be great entertainment for visiting grandchildren.

After a tour around the many buildings in the area, the ladies adjourned to the Marriott Hotel across the street for a delicious lunch. Many thanks to our hostesses for the month: Lynn Kosmak, Phyllis Ayers, Linda Terry and Nanci Zipes.

A celebration of the 10th anniversary of the formation of the Red Hat Ranchers was held on September 23, and a box lunch was enjoyed on October 1. A couple of hoots are coming up soon. These ladies do seem to keep busy.
