2014 Military guests SoT golf

The eighth annual Support Our Troops charity golf tournament will take place on Friday, May 1. The SOT golf committee is proud to announce that Fidelity Investments will once again be the tournament’s title sponsor. Thirty-plus active duty military members from the Fort Hood military base will also be joining us again this year to be honored at a dinner the night before the tournament and to play in the tournament. Thanks to the generosity of Robson Corporation, all expenses for participating military members and their dependents are covered. Also many generous Robson Ranch residents volunteer to host all visiting Fort Hood military members in their homes during tournament weekend. Robson Ranch residents interested in being one of our host families should contact either Bill Moore or Bill Crawford.
This year’s schedule of tournament events begins on Thursday evening, April 30, with a military honor dinner in the Robson Ranch Community Center. On Friday morning the golf tournament kicks off with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start followed by lunch and an awards ceremony in the community center. Friday night numerous potluck dinners will be held at host family homes for the visiting military members and their families. If you would like to participate in one of the potlucks, contact either Bill Moore or Bill Crawford.
The tournament is open to any Robson resident, friend or family member. Single entries are welcome; the golf committee will pair you up. Entry forms are available in the Wildhorse Pro Shop. We are expecting a full tournament field this year so please do not delay in getting your entry form into the committee prior to the deadline which is April 24.
