Over the past several years, the Woodworker Club at Robson Ranch has enjoyed an ongoing working relationship with various departments at Robson Ranch. Whether it is building a cabinet in the Pro Shop or making simple repairs to furniture, the Woodworkers have always been there to help.

The largest collaborative effort was the installation of a state-of-the-art dust collection system for the woodshop in the Creative Arts and Technology Center. It became the standard for woodshops that are being built in other Robson communities. Yes, we were the first! Members of the Woodworkers Club have also acted as real-time consultants as each of the woodshops have been built and outfitted in Eloy and Casa Grande in Arizona. The cost of the dust collection system was originally shared between the Woodworker Club and Robson Development since it was a capital improvement to the building. But in appreciation for help to other communities, Jack Sarsam, VP Operations, brought good news from Robson Development that they have forgiven the last portion of debt for the system.

If you are new to the community or have any interest in woodworking, we’d love to meet you and have you join our group. Even if you have no prior woodworking experience, we can teach you basic skills, and in no time you will be creating your own clock. There are always mentors available.

You can find us at the Crafts, Art and Technology Center. Our open hours are generally from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, as well as Monday and Tuesday evenings from 6:30-9:00 p.m. However, a safety monitor always needs to be available for the shop to be open.
