April brought not only high caliber photo entries, but also a new category for entrees as well. For the first time prints on foam board were open for submission. The winner of this new category was Jan Goodwin for her submission Nature Camp. When asked to tell a bit about her submission she said, “I took this photo at Bentsen RGV State Park. He was trying to nap that morning after a night out hunting. It was a challenge to catch him with his eyes open.”
The first place winner in the digital print category was Randy Hatcher. His submission, Terlingua Sunset, is also an amazing entry. When asked for a description of this mesmerizing photo, Randy replied, “This photo speaks for itself.” I agree!
Meetings are open to all and are held in room 104 of the CATC building on the third Monday of the month. Our next meeting will be Monday, June 15, at 7:00 p.m. See you there!
