The Featherheads, an informal but generous group of Robson Ranch golfers, gave a $1,300 charitable donation to the Support Our Troops organization at last month’s SOT charity golf tournament. The donation was presented by Featherheads’ spokesman Doyle Hicks who was accompanied by a dozen fellow Featherheads. The Featherheads group collects the money that they donate to SOT at their weekly informal golf outings by charging for each birdie and eagle made by the group on their play day. To date the Featherheads have donated almost $6,000 to the SOT charity, which raises funds in support of active duty military members related to Robson Ranch residents and a number of other military charities.
In recognition of the Featherheads’ continuing generosity, SOT charity golf tournament chairman Sam Goodrich presented a plaque to Doyle Hicks thanking the Featherheads group for their steadfast support of SOT’s charitable efforts.
