In the heart of Robson Ranch’s CATC building, where creativity meets community, one club member has emerged as the go-to expert in the delicate craft of slip pouring ceramics. Ronda Swanson, a dedicated member of Kiln Krafters, is not just a member; she is a passionate artist whose enthusiasm for pouring ceramics knows no bounds.
Ronda’s journey into the world of ceramics began decades ago but was revitalized when she first moved to Robson Ranch. Kiln Krafters was the first club she joined, and since then, she has not only become an integral part of Kiln Krafters, but has also made a mark as the resident go-to person for slip pouring.
Vice President Maria Rudolph conducts training for all new members, guiding newcomers through the intricate process of slip pouring, and President Cindy Parker and Ronda are always available to assist new members in the process, too. Their generosity in sharing their expertise has fostered a sense of community and collaboration within Kiln Krafters.
As a member of Kiln Krafters for three years, Ronda’s dedication to pouring is unequaled. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and her energy is boundless. She has poured more than a dozen molds in a day, and her largest pour took over four gallons of material! With a skillful hand, Ronda pours pieces for many other club members.
In addition to being an active participant of Kiln Krafters, Ronda also serves as the treasurer for Kiln Krafters, showcasing her dedication to the success and sustainability of the group. However, the heart of Ronda’s creative endeavors lies in the Ceramics Room at the CATC building. It is here that she spends countless hours pouring and painting, transforming simple clay molds into works of art. The room has become a haven for like-minded individuals who share Ronda’s passion for ceramics, creating a space where artistic expression knows no bounds.
