Women’s Club Has ‘Designs’ on the September Luncheon!

The Robson Ranch Women’s Club is excited to host Heather Vroegop with HCV Interior Designs at the September luncheon. HCV Interior Designs has been in business for 28 years and has built the business on a personal commitment to innovative designs and memorable customer service. Join us as we learn more about the most innovative designs and accessories in home interior renovation and updates while learning more about the latest in industry standards and quality in home products.

The September Charity: Denton Community Food Center

Buffet: Pecan-crusted chicken salad (pecan-crusted chicken, mixed greens, black beans, roasted corn, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, diced cucumber, honey mustard and balsamic dressing, garlic knots), chocolate cake, whipped cream

Luncheon checks are due by Monday, Aug. 26, at 8 a.m.

As a recap, the July luncheon program was on July 1. President Lisa Olson and Community Outreach Co-chairperson Suzanne Spisak introduced a new charity selection process. Lisa announced that the club has 502 members. Lisa Olson and Nancy Garre-Caldwell introduced new members, first-time attendees, and guests.

Shirley Monge celebrated the 19 members’ July birthdays. The birthday drawing winner was Deborah Gow.

Suzanne Spisak announced that we raised $252 at the luncheon. The donations went to the Denton County Food Center. A “Share the Blessings” drawing was held, and Julie Eaton was the winner.

Dianna Duncan reported 118 backpacks were collected for Friends of the Family.

Sandy Conwell introduced the Duffle Bag Drive. It benefits the Friends of the Family Survivor Advocacy Team (SAT), which provides clothing, underwear, and toiletries to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence at hospitals and police stations.

Lisa and Lorie Stockton presented a check for $8,864.16 to Tom Newell with Denton County Food Center.

Lisa Olson expressed her appreciation to Gayle Lee and her team for a successful Patio Pool Party on June 17.

Dee Sico introduced the next Special Event, the Tacos and Margaritas Bus Tour on Sept. 19. The cost is only $110 per person. Dee is taking reservations.

Lisa announced that the Women’s Club would have a float in the 4th of July parade.

Lisa reminded everyone that the Women’s Club has a new Facebook page and encouraged members to Like and Follow.

Pam Dotson, programs, noted the August program would be Kendall Meade with Brandt Travel. Pam reported the American Veterans Traveling Tribute Wall will be at the Golden Triangle Mall in Denton beginning July 5 and that the 395th Army Band of the Southwest would perform at Denton High School.

Pam opened the program with the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of our national anthem. The presenter was Ex Special Ops Blackhawk Crew Chief Travis Hitt. He shared his knowledge and experiences about a career in Special Ops.
