The Robson Ranch Democratic Club devoted its Sept. 5 meeting to activities and volunteer assignments in support of candidates running for local, state, and national offices in the upcoming Nov. 5 election.
Delia Parker-Mims, Denton County Democratic Party Chair, was the featured speaker and provided a comprehensive overview of countywide support programs and volunteer opportunities. Jane Scholz, volunteer coordinator for the club, recognized 37 individuals who have agreed to serve on committees and service groups in eight categories ranging from phone banking, block walking, poll worker, poll greeters, voter registrars, post card mailers, and volunteer socials.
Outgoing club co-president Lavelle Carlson was also recognized for her dedicated service to the organization.
