The Robson Ranch Photo Club’s general session meeting was on Oct. 21 in the CATC in Room 104. Board member Dick Remski’s presentation was “Pacific Island Hopping.”
Dick’s exclusive travel camera is a Nikon. On cruises, he usually takes a carbon fiber tripod and two or three lenses. His 14-30 mm wide-angle and 24-200 zoom are his favorite travel lenses. If capturing wildlife, Dick can reach out the distance with a Sigma Contemporary Series 150-600, f 5:6.3, but not if he has to carry it very far. He also has a couple of dedicated macro format lenses for close-up on insects.
In the past couple of years, Dick has been doing photo and travel talks at senior homes in the Denton area as a means to share his images and experiences with those who can no longer travel on their own. Dick is a longtime member of the RR Photo Club and enjoys participating in workshops and programs for the club.
The general session was open to any Robson homeowner.
