Carol Collins WFCP, Expert Carol’s Custom Draperies & Interiors
October 15, fall should be in the air and winter just ahead of us. It’s time to start thinking about keeping our homes warm and toasty for the winter months and inviting for the holidays. Where do we begin? Let’s begin with a few simple tasks of changing out the summer accessories for the orange and chocolates of fall to the reds and greens of the holidays. Bring out the wonderful scents of cinnamon buns and cranberry in your candles to add a bit of crispness to the air. And while you are in the fall and winter storage boxes, pull out the throws and pillows to bring the fall and holiday accents to your decor. A decorative front door wreath sporting the colors of fall and Thanksgiving will get you through November. But make sure you are ready December 1 by replacing the fall wreath with one for the Christmas season.
Some of you may want to think about changing your window coverings and draperies to keep the warm air in and the cold air outside where it belongs. We invite you to check out our specials on Hunter Douglas shades. A savings of $100 and more is available on several of our more energy efficient shades for your windows. But don’t wait until the last minute. This rebate sale ends December 7.
Adding decorative panels in fall and winter colors proves to be the finishing touch to any room of your home. Don’t just stop in the living and dining room. Accent your bedrooms with the latest and most decorative style of the season.
