Both have training in equine and animal assisted counseling and use trauma informed methods in the barnyard and in their offices. Bob Williams, CEO and founder of RHR states, “We have so many organizations and individuals asking for our help that we needed to add additional personnel. With Cathy and Rebeca joining us we are able to take our counseling program to the next level.” RHR is a farm animal rescue that takes critical needs cases, an animal sanctuary for special needs animals and a counseling center that uses these formerly abused and neglected animals in therapy with children and adults. All therapists at RHR have advanced training to work with those that have experienced trauma along with equine and other animals in therapy. They see clients with a variety of issues using both traditional and innovative techniques including EMDR, play therapy, nature therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and faith based counseling. The peaceful setting of the Ranch is a wonderful place for hope and healing. For more information, check out our website at www.ranchhandrescue.org.
