Afternoon of Connection and Engagement!

Jan Brefczynski

The Conservative Women of Action (CWA) hosted a vibrant Mix & Mingle event for Robson Ranch women on March 24 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the RR clubhouse Lonestar Room. It was an afternoon filled with conversation, learning, and opportunities to get involved!

Our chairwomen were available at information tables to answer questions and share details about CWA’s mission and activities. Here’s a look at what we do:

• Topic Discussion Groups: Currently wrapping up Pete Hegseth’s American Crusader, this group fosters meaningful conversations on books, articles, and videos in a relaxed setting. Stay tuned for our next discussion topic on the website, or reach out to Judy Martin-Tafoya at 505-252-3214 for details.

• Charitable Work: Led by Lisa Gillihar (817-308-3981) and her team, we actively support the Woman to Woman Pregnancy Resource Center and their Twice As Nice Resale (TANR) shop. Our members volunteer twice a month at TANR and contribute to special projects like Great Deal for a Great Cause.

• Special Events: Stay updated on our upcoming events via the website or our Facebook page, including an exciting early fall gathering in the works!

• Education and Advocacy: We promote conservative principles and education through our bimonthly seminars. Next up: Michael Quinn Sullivan, editor of The Texas Minute, presented by Texas Scorecard, on June 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Patriot Room. All men are welcome to join our educational seminars.

• Social Media: Lynne Kelsey and Lisa Dyer introduced attendees to our newly developed website and Facebook page, helping members stay informed and engaged.

• Legislation: Machelle Burtless provided insights into what our representatives are working on and the latest legislative happenings in Austin and Washington, D.C.

And, of course, no CWA gathering is complete without some delicious treats. This time we indulged in cupcakes!

Thank you to everyone who joined us! We look forward to more meaningful connections and impactful work ahead.
